About us

We are Maj and Sher, a couple of mature (we don’t like the tag “old”) folks who were born and raised in Indiana. Sher managed a photography studio and then, after we were married, raised our five kids. Maj has done many things including cattle ranching, professional public speaking and owning an engineering consulting company. We both are freelance writers, love photography, RV  travel, buying and selling antiques, and adventures.

We are full time RV travelers. After years of discussion we were able to realize our dream of selling the house, getting an RV of some type, and hitting the road. Our kids are located literally coast to coast and we now can visit everyone as we travel.

Our first RV was a tiny hybrid, a Starcraft AR-ONE. We had it for a couple of years, using it to visit the kids, recreational travel, and in our business selling at flea markets, fairs and festivals. The opportunities to travel very far were limited for the shows, as Maj was still working a pesky day job requiring us to be back home for his work on Mondays.

When Maj was able to draw his Social Security we realized the numbers worked and he could retire, we could sell our house, get the travel trailer we wanted and become full time RV travelers. Little did we realize that things would move so fast. A mere four days after the house was listed we accepted an offer to purchase from a buyer!

Our new FourWinds 22e

Our new Four Winds 22e

Well, things have changed in our mode of transportation. We decided that the Hideout travel trailer pulled by the pick up truck was not working out for the kinds of activities and plans that we were wanting to pursue. We traded the Hideout for a Thor Four Winds 22e class C motorhome. We now enjoy the freedom the coach brings to our comings and goings. We have already driven it to theaters, auctions, beaches and other attractions. The onboard generator is very handy when we park at rest areas, truck stops, or other places without shore power.

So here we are, living the RV travel lifestyle. We will share what we do, how we do it, and where we are doing it with you. Got any questions? Please drop in comments or use the contact us methods. We really would love to hear from you!

Hmm it appears like your website ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I had written and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to the whole thing.
Do you have any tips for novice blog writers? I’d really appreciate it.

Hello would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re working with?
I’m looking to start my own blog soon but I’m having a hard time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most
blogs and I’m looking for something unique.
P.S Sorry for getting off-topic but I had to ask!

Wife and I just bought a 2014 Keystone Hideout 22RBWE(for a good deal we think lol) and so far have found that screws in our cabinets are falling out and it feels like we might fall through the tub because it doesn’t seem all that sturdy….

Anything you can offer up that you have concerns about with your trailer that maybe we should check out too since we have the same brand? We have done two short trips and so far so good overall… we have our first major trip next year to Zion NP planned for 8 days

    Thanks
    Brian

    1. Maj J

Sent you a private Email, Brian.

Let me know if there is anything we can do to offer suggestions or anything else.

      Happy trails!
